Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr HSSE Project Execution Associate to ensure health, safety, security, and environmental compliance across construction and operating sites. The role supports HSSE management systems and drives adherence to regulations while tracking performance and incidents.

Responsibilities include leading investigations, developing corrective actions with cross-functional teams, and reporting metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Construction Safety, and/or Environmental Science, or related field.
• A professional certification is preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree accepted; other factors considered.
• Minimum 3 years HSSE experience in operations, maintenance, and/or construction of power facilities (Wind/Solar/Battery).
• Working knowledge of federal OSHA, EPA, and state labor standards; familiarity with Industrial Safety and Industrial Hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and ensures health and safety of employees, contractors, and subcontractors on facilities and projects.
• Drives continuous HSSE improvement across operations and project execution.
• Coordinates collection and accuracy of contractor man-hours.
• Travels >50% of the time within assigned region.
• Conducts investigations and submits reports to KS P A Flex system.
• Partners with Operations, Project Execution, and Engineering on corrective actions for incidents.
• Reports HSSE metrics, records, and injuries (OSHA 300) timely.
• Performs audits and safety assessments across wind/solar/battery projects.
• Leads HSSE program implementation across sites within a region or technology type.
• Delivers HSSE training on lockout/tagout, confined spaces, heights, and hazard communication.
