Job summary

Disability Rights California (DRC) is hiring a Senior Human Resources Partner to advise employees and leaders across California. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HRIS support in a hybrid environment.

The role partners with supervisors and directors to foster engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture while possibly supervising two HR staff. California-specific regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of HR experience including recruitment, employee relations, and HRIS.
• Experience advising managers on performance, development, and workplace concerns.
• Proven record for full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
• Experience ensuring compliance with California employment laws.
• Experience leading HR initiatives and projects.
• Experience applying trauma-informed HR practices in management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for assigned unit(s).
• Provide guidance to supervisors, managers, and directors on performance and engagement.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions.
• Support employee relations matters and coaching conversations.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and generate reports.
• Supervise up to two HR staff and provide development.
