Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to drive employee relations in our Bagdad, Arizona operations. You will serve as the primary representative in arbitration and investigations while advising site leadership on HR policy and regulatory matters.

The role emphasizes integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to coach leaders, manage complex cases, and implement HR programs to build capability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in employee relations within industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to independently lead investigations.
• Strong understanding of HR management areas (staffing, labor relations, performance management).

Responsibilities

• Act as Company’s sole representative during legal and binding arbitration, appeals, and open-door processes to settle disputes with employees.
• Lead employment and compliance-based investigations.
• Collaborate with site HR and Operations leadership to advise on HR and labor regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with leadership on performance management and coaching, ensuring policy alignment.
• Execute HR projects and improvements, support change management and stakeholder advising.
• Protect and maintain privacy of employee records, including compensation information.
• Implement HR goals, processes, and systems to build organizational capability.
• Guide leaders on Company policies and monitors compliance with laws.
• Analyze HR metrics to inform workforce planning and forecasting initiatives.
• Perform other duties as requested.
