  • Coordinate annual open enrollment, including employee communications, educational sessions, enrollment tracking, and follow-up.
  • Review benefit elections, payroll deductions, carrier files, invoices, and eligibility records; resolve discrepancies with Payroll, vendors, and employees.
  • Coordinate required benefit notices and documentation, including continuation coverage processes, in partnership with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor vendor service and employee concerns, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements to benefit processes and communications.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential benefit records and assist with audits, reporting, and renewals.

  • Coordinate requests for workplace accommodations and support the interactive process with appropriate HR leadership involvement.
  • Track leave balances, intermittent leave, benefit continuation, and return-to-work status; identify and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with employees while maintaining consistent application of policy and applicable requirements.
  • Partner with supervisors to plan for employee absences while protecting confidential medical information.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or potentially disputed leave and accommodation matters to HR leadership.
Daily HR Operations and Employee Support
  • Respond to employee and supervisor questions about policies, benefits, leave, employment practices, and HR procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and complete timely personnel changes in the HR and payroll systems.
  • Support onboarding, status changes, transfers, and separations, ensuring required steps and documentation are completed.
  • Advise supervisors on routine performance, attendance, and workplace concerns; assist with documentation and consistent application of policy.
  • Support employee relations reviews and investigations as assigned, including gathering information, maintaining records, and recommending next steps.
  • Prepare HR communications, reports, dashboards, and documentation for leadership.
  • Identify gaps in HR processes and develop practical improvements that reduce errors and improve service.
Recruitment and Retention
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify staffing needs, develop job postings, review candidates, coordinate interviews, and move candidates efficiently through the hiring process.
  • Support timely offers, pre-employment requirements, and handoffs to onboarding and, when applicable, Medical Staff Services.
  • Monitor recruiting activity, hiring timelines, turnover trends, and reasons employees leave; recommend actions based on the findings.
  • Work with managers and the Employee Engagement team to strengthen onboarding, recognition, employee feedback, and retention practices.
  • Support stay interviews, exit interviews, and follow-up on themes affecting employee experience.
  • Help supervisors address avoidable turnover through stronger communication, early intervention, and consistent management practices.
