Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Associate Director, HR Deal Lead to oversee the people workstream across strategic bids and employee transitions. You will collaborate with Sales, Solutioning, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Delivery, and regional HR teams, supporting outsourcing opportunities across the Americas and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an HR deal workstream with end-to-end activities for outsourcing engagements.
• Experience in transformation, employee relations, or workforce transition with independent leadership of complex workstreams.
• Strong practical knowledge of employment law.
• Experience in client-facing delivery, commercial risk assessment, contractual review, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Commercial acumen and a solution-focused approach.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders and strong risk judgment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and negotiation confidence.
• Strong program management skills in ambiguity and deadlines.
• Collaborative, resilient, and able to work across cultures.
• Ownership mindset and passion for delivering meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR input into people solution design for outsourcing pursuits with cross-functional teams.
• Assess regional sensitivities and regulatory transfer implications; define transfer, rebadge, rehire, restructuring and integration approaches.
• Lead people due diligence and translate data into risks, assumptions, dependencies, liabilities, and mitigation actions; develop HR cost inputs for deal pricing.
• Review people-related provisions in contracts and documents; present people solution to senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Establish strong client engagement and lead bid-related activities, including presentations, due diligence, onboarding, and HR handover.
• Plan and deliver end-to-end employee transitions, including communications, onboarding, payroll readiness, stabilization, and handover.
