Job summary

TotalEnergies Port Arthur Refinery recherche un Senior HR Business Partner (Contractor) pour superviser les activités RH locales sur une période estimée de 6 à 12 mois. Vous travaillerez avec la direction et les employés pour assurer la conformité, l onboarding, le recrutement et les relations du travail, tout en respectant les lois FMLA/ADA et les normes EEO.

Le candidat idéal possède 10–15 ans d'expérience RH, idéalement dans l'industrie pétrolière, et maîtrise UKG Workforce Management.

Qualifications

• Baccalauréat en ressources humaines ou domaine connexe préféré.
• Expérience professionnelle RH de 10 à 15 ans souhaitée.
• Expérience dans une raffinerie ou l'industrie énergétique un plus.
• Connaissance des lois FMLA, ADA, EEOC, NLRA et de la conformité.
• Maîtrise de l’anglais; capacité à travailler dans un contexte international.

Responsibilities

• Gère le recrutement complet pour les postes assignés.
• Assure la conformité au Code de conduite de l’entreprise et aux lois du travail du Texas et fédérales.
• Coordonne l’intégration et l’orientation des nouveaux employés.
• Assure les HR Operations et les audits internes et soutient les questions d’emploi.
• Soutien les managers sur les questions de performance, d’absences et les relations employé.
• Soutenir le changement organisationnel et les initiatives de gestion du changement.
• Point focal RH pour FMLA, ADA et gestion des absences.
• Établir et maintenir des relations avec les managers et les employés.
• Fournit des conseils RH généralistes et complexes.

The Senior Business Partner (Contractor) will act as the primary HR interface for their assigned population, working closely with Management and employees to provide effective Human Resource support to all.

Job Activities:

• Recruitment: Manage full-cycle recruiting for all positions within assigned population.
• Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct.
• Onboarding: Coordinate Onboarding activities and assist in new hire orientation to ensure consistent, high-quality experience.
• HR Operations: Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and Texas state employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, OSHA).
• Compliance: Assist in internal HR audits and continuous improvement projects related to labor documentation and compliance. Support Sr. HRBP with employment issues such as but not limited to restructuring, organizational change.
• Employee Relations: Assist in coaching leaders on handling performance issues, attendance, and employee relations matters with fairness and consistency. Understand contractual process and restrictions for union represented employees.
• Culture and Engagement: Supporting Change Management such as organizational change initiatives, providing guidance and coaching to leaders and employees to navigate change effectively
• Attendance and Accommodations: Undertake role of HR focal point for FMLA, ADA, and absenteeism management.
• Actively participate in the development and implementation of HR plans which contribute to departmental priorities
• Develop strong relationships with managers and employees to ensure delivery of a creditable customer focused HR service
• Provide generalist and complex HR advice and support when required ensuring advice is professional, commercial, and focused on the business requirements as legislation.
• Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field preferred
• Significant professional HR experience preferred (10 – 15 years)
• Experience in a refinery or energy industry a plus
• Experience with labor relations a plus
• Technical skills required for the position: Practical administration of basic employment law including but not limited to, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, NLRA; Proficiency in HRIS UKG Workforce Management a plus, Ability to manage multiple projects of high priority
• Behavioral competencies required for the position: Strong communication skills; Ability to build and maintain working relationships; Ability to manage multiple projects; Ability to listen; Respect for Others; Commercially focused with sound business acumen
• Language skills required for the position: English
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred
• Specific knowledge required for the position: Understanding of refining process and/or energy and petrochemical industry ideal; Strong working knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and regulatory compliance; Ability to interpret and apply legal requirements to HR policies and practices, ensuring the organization remains compliant.

Note: This is a temporary/contract position with an estimated duration of 6 to 12 months based in Port Arthur, TX.
