Job Overview

The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a key business partner to advise leaders on all HR-related matters. The Senior HRBP executes all HR activities within an assigned territory or functional area, including proactive and reactive ER, change management, policy interpretation and guidance, legal compliance, HR training, investigations, compensation, data management, and teammate engagement.

This position will support the Sales & Distribution and Equipment Services teams within the NC West territory: Charlotte, Monroe, Hickory, Mt. Airy, Boone, Skyland, and Bryson City. Candidates must reside within this footprint, with Charlotte as the preferred location. There will be approximately 50% travel involved.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Business Acumen and HR Service Delivery: Understand the business thoroughly and advise leaders on strategy, people, and decisions. Collaborate with HR centers of excellence to deliver value-added services and advocate for the HR function.
  2. HR Business Partner Support: Handle teammate inquiries, support policy and program rollouts, develop engagement plans, and facilitate teammate relations and development.
  3. Cultural Advocate: Embody organizational values, conduct facility visits, and organize meetings to address teammate needs. Facilitate training programs to enhance skills and performance.
  4. Employee Relations and Performance Management: Coach leaders and teammates, interpret policies, conduct investigations, and address relations issues, including grievances and complaints.
  5. Talent Management and Succession Planning: Ensure the right talent is in place, identify leadership capabilities, analyze data, and develop plans to attract, retain, and grow talent.
  6. Legal Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Maintain knowledge of legal requirements, partner with legal as needed, and address complaints and trends to mitigate risks.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 to 7 years of HR experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in HR, Business, or Management.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • HR certifications (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
Work Environment

Office setting with some exposure to warehouses and manufacturing plants, which may involve noisy conditions and extreme temperatures.
