Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced HPC Systems Engineer to join the HPC team and support SpaceX personnel and proprietary systems. The role requires administering HPC clusters, storage, and networks, and providing user support across engineering disciplines.

Applicants should have Kubernetes experience, scripting skills (Bash/Python), and a proven track record with HPC environments; ITAR eligibility may apply. This position is based in Texas and may require extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years systems engineering or 7+ years experience without degree
• 7+ years experience building software in lieu of a degree
• Hands-on experience with client and server hardware/software, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage HPC clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networks
• Provide application support to SpaceX employees across engineering disciplines
• Install and integrate Linux-based compute clusters
• Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in non-technical terms
