Job summary

Power3 Solutions seeks a Senior HPC DevOps Engineer to own operations for an HPC/AI compute cluster in Maryland. The role focuses on automation, drift detection, and secure provisioning using Ansible and enterprise tools.

Requirements include 12+ years in CS/IT and a TS/SCI with MD polygraph, with strong Linux, Ansible, and HPC experience. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided in a demanding, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in computer science/IT or related field; BS/MS/PhD pathway specified.
7+ years in Linux systems/SRE/DevOps including HPC/large-scale compute environments.
3+ years building and operating Ansible automation at scale (roles/collections, idempotency).
Strong Linux hardening and compliance fundamentals (SELinux/AppArmor, SSH key automation).
Experience with clustered compute environments and GPU node health validation.

Responsibilities

Enforce desired state across cluster services via code-driven configuration.
Automate compute node onboarding and OS provisioning with security baselines.
Implement rolling maintenance and patch automation; integrate image scanning.
Ensure auditable logs and integrate with metrics/alerting for incident response.
Automate common incident responses using runbooks and out-of-band interfaces.
Maintain docs-as-code for runbooks and operator guidance.
