Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking a senior Software Systems Design Engineer to lead HPC and AI solutions on AMD EPYC platforms. You will optimize software paths and enable scalable deployments across clusters, collaborating with product, marketing, and silicon teams.

The ideal candidate has deep x86 architecture expertise, proven code-tuning skills, and experience profiling systems. You will influence next-generation AMD software and showcase performance gains to customers.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
Deep expertise in x86 architecture and HPC/AI deployment.
Proven ability to optimize software and tune performance.
Experience with system-level profiling tools (uProf, VTune) and perf metrics.
Familiarity with AI tools like Claude, Curser.
Experience contributing to large HPC code bases on CPU/GPU.

Responsibilities

Lead enablement and optimization of HPC/AI solutions on AMD EPYC.
Collaborate with product, marketing and silicon teams to shape performance strategies.
Deploy and optimize AI models in production clusters.
Present results to customers and internal stakeholders.
