Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to supervise resort engineering operations, including HVAC, Electrical, Kitchen Equipment and safety training. Lead preventative maintenance, manage budgets, and coordinate capital projects.

The role requires a college degree in Engineering/Facility Maintenance (preferred) and at least 4 years at the ADOE level or higher in a hotel setting, with strong communication and leadership skills for

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering/Facility Maintenance (preferred).
• At least 4 years of experience at an Assistant Director of Engineering level or higher in hotel/resort maintenance preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Must be energetic, entrepreneurial, and a motivational leader who delivers excellent customer service and helps improve the bottom line.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays as business requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for resort engineering operations, including interior and exterior maintenance.
• Oversee preventative maintenance for guestrooms, public areas, and safety systems with proper documentation and scheduling.
• Manage inventory and purchasing within Hyatt’s system; align with annual maintenance budget.
• Monitor building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
