Job summary

Chase is seeking a Senior Home Lending Advisor in Des Moines to serve as the primary contact for customers throughout the loan lifecycle. You will market mortgage products while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You will leverage knowledge of FHA/VA and agency guidelines to guide clients, collaborate with branch teams, and grow mortgage origination in footprint territories. Strong communication and real estate market knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate.
  • 3+ years of mortgage lending and proven sales experience in retail banking.
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coaches and mentors the branch team by providing training on products and services.
  • Works together with bankers, meets with their customers, and introduces new clients to bankers for additional products and services.
  • Collaborates with your team to create an outstanding customer experience by utilizing centrally managed direct mail, media advertisements, cross‑sell efforts, relocation programs, statement programs, Chase.com, electronic newsletters, outbound lead sourcing, and other marketing efforts.
  • Develops a strong partnership with the assigned retail branches to promote mortgage loan originations in footprint territories and functions well within formal and dotted‑line reporting relationships.
  • Builds role as the internal and external mortgage expert and maintains good relationships with customers.
  • Exhibits consultative skills to provide recommendations based on financial analysis and expertise, product knowledge, and knowledge of the customer's financial needs, goals, and circumstances.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales and/or real estate
  • 3+ years of mortgage lending and proven sales experience in retail banking
  • Knowledge of real estate market in local area
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • FHA/VA sales experience
  • Marketing, promoting, relationship building, and consulting skills
  • Intermediate PC skills in a Windows environment
Licensing and Compliance

This position is subject to Dodd‑Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on a review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant background information. A felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies a candidate. The successful candidate must register on the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the SAFE Act of 2008 and maintain compliance with its renewal and update requirements.
