Job summary

Northwestern Mutual is seeking a highly experienced tax professional to join Sophisticated Planning Strategies as a senior member of our in-house tax preparation and planning team.

You will provide advanced individual income tax planning and compliance support for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, while collaborating with advisors to integrate tax strategies into comprehensive financial and estate planning.

Qualifications

• CPA with 15+ years of progressive tax experience
• Strong expertise in high-net-worth individual taxation
• Ability to sign and review complex federal/state returns
• Mentor and develop junior staff and collaborate with advisors

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth clients, including signing responsibility as appropriate
• Review tax projections and identify planning opportunities and issues requiring escalation
• Provide advanced tax planning consultations for HNW individuals, executives, and related entities
• Collaborate with tax, financial planning, legal, investment, and insurance professionals to integrate tax strategies into wealth planning
