Job summary

Teksky LLC is seeking a seasoned Histology Specialist to prepare samples, perform IHC staining, and operate whole slide imaging systems. The role requires accurate processing, strong quality control, and strict compliance with CAP/CLIA and NYS SOPs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in histology, HT/HTL credentials, and a track record in clinical labs. Experience with breast cancer diagnostics and digital pathology is advantageous, with a focus on safety and timely delivery of results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of histology experience in an anatomic pathology laboratory.
• ASCP HT or HTL certification required.
• Strong histology and IHC experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Whole slide imaging or digital pathology experience preferred.
• Breast cancer diagnostics experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent histology qualification.
• Must meet CLIA-88 requirements under 42 CFR 493.1443.
• Strong communication, organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient samples including grossing, tissue processing, sectioning and routine staining.
• Perform IHC staining using automated immunostainers.
• Perform whole slide imaging using automated slide scanners.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe laboratory environment.
• Follow CAP, CLIA, NYS regulations and department SOPs.
• Properly handle sharps and biohazardous waste.
• Maintain equipment logs and provide required quality metrics.
