Job summary

Qualifications

• Citizenship: United States citizen required.
• Education: one of the listed pathways to enter histopathology technologist.
• Certification: HTL by ASCP or board-eligible with temporary appointment provisions.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs a full range of specialized histopathology tests.
• Uses information technology systems to apply histopathology techniques and core biology/chemistry knowledge.
• Acts as a technical resource, troubleshoots tests, identifies suboptimal issues, and resolves concerns with independent judgment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in health sciences or allied sciences

Baccalaureate with 30 biology/chemistry hours

Two years of graduate study in health sciences
