Qualifications

• Histocompatibility technologist certification (ACHI) preferred or required.
• 1 year of relevant work experience in histocompatibility or related lab setting.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused care in a clinical setting through HLA typing using molecular methods and following SOPs.
• Perform data analysis and interpretation of HLA alleles and haplotype frequency.
• Isolates lymphocytes from blood, spleen, and lymph nodes.
• Perform antibody screening by Flow Cytometry Crossmatch and initial data interpretation.
• Perform Antibody Screening and Specificity Analysis by Luminex methods and initial interpretation.
• Generate initial crossmatch and antibody screening reports for management review.
• Integrate typing, flow crossmatch, and antibody screening results to draft the first revision of the Virtual Crossmatch Report for final review.
• Coordinate with transplant coordinators and physicians to transfer requests to Lab management.
