Job summary

Alliance Health Center in Meridian, MS seeks a Medical Records Director to plan, supervise, and optimize medical records operations in compliance with regulatory standards. The role ensures documentation completeness for reimbursement and continuity of patient care, while offering expert guidance to staff.

The director will lead the HIM team, coordinate with hospital departments, and uphold UHS's quality standards and strategic objectives across the facility.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management preferred; AS/RHIT.
• Experience: 2 years supervisory experience in Health Information Management field.
• Licensure/Certification: RHIA preferred.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of health information management and confidentiality laws.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the Medical Records department in compliance with hospital, state, and federal requirements.
• Analyze the quality of medical records to ensure completeness for reimbursement and continuity of care.
• Provide expert consultative services to hospital staff regarding medical records.
• Align activities with Alliance Health Center philosophy and objectives.
