Job summary

At AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Highway Project Manager to join our Orlando, Miami or Tampa, FL office. You will lead project teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with FDOT clients and municipalities.

The role requires 12 years in project production with 4 years in project management, FDOT district experience (D4/D6/D7), and a Florida PE license. Travel within the state is expected. Our team values safety, integrity, and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
  • 12 years of experience in project production and technical activities.
  • 4 years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience with FDOT District local to the area (D4, D6 or D7).
  • PE License in Florida.
  • Experience in highway/roadway design and project management.
  • Ability to travel within the state.
  • Strong understanding of FDOT clients and municipalities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams using technical and project management skills.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control project tasks including financial management and marketing support.
  • Mentor and train team members.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors and draft service agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and monitor subcontractor performance.
  • Prepare and share project plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets with the team.
  • Track project progress, costs, and expenses, and report to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate project account files and review reports.
  • Manage client billings, assist with payment collection, and resolve disputes.
  • Oversee subconsultant progress, approve invoices, and resolve payment issues.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Report project financial status to technical managers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and participate in project presentations.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between

$155,000 - $215,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
