Job summary

CDR Maguire Engineering, a multidisciplinar firm, seeks a Highway Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience for our Mechanicsburg, PA location with potential openings in other PA offices. Lead work groups, perform complex design tasks, and prepare PS&E packages while mentoring junior staff.

Must demonstrate strong communication and proficiency in Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of highway design experience.
• PE license in good standing preferred.
• Knowledge of CDR-M Design and office procedures.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and ownership.
• Familiarity with design manuals, codes, and software.
• Ability to review and guide highway/traffic designs.
• Proficient with Bentley, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam; ORD familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Act as Work Group Leader on small and mid-sized projects.
• Perform drafting and checking of highway design drawings.
• Develop PS&E packages and assist PMs on projects.
• Prepare contract documents and review shop drawings.
• Compute geometry, quantities, and perform design checks.
• Support other offices and attend meetings as needed.
