The ideal candidate has 10+ years in the field, English communication skills, and preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years of heavy highway and civil construction as a superintendent.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications using proper grammar and spelling; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience managing construction activities with both subcontractors and self-performing crews.
• Moderate level of computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and internet search engines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the schedule by regularly reviewing milestones and providing solutions to a wide variety of challenges across multiple projects.
• Provide oversight to the work planning process including equipment needs, personnel requirements, and road closures.
• Review work schedules and implement strategies to meet milestones on time while controlling costs.
• Supervise hiring, training, development, and assignments of personnel; ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Read and understand prints and project documents related to heavy highway and civil construction.
