Job summary

proHNS LLC is seeking experienced Construction Inspectors to support Federal Highway Administration projects across Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, and the Mountain West. This field-based role requires hands-on oversight, technical problem solving, and contribution to infrastructure projects serving communities.

The role offers full-time seasonal work with per diem, requiring NICET or equivalent experience and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, documentation, and listening skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license, good driving record, ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, government agencies, consultants, and the public.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, digital file management systems, and construction documentation tools.
• Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA requirements, construction specifications, and field inspection practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect workmanship, materials, labor, and safety compliance per specs.
• Maintain accurate daily inspection logs, field records, and reports.
• Review environmental controls, traffic control measures, and project documentation for compliance.
• Assist with estimates, contract modifications, correspondence, and construction progress documentation.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, agencies, project teams, and the public.
