Job summary

M&J Engineering P.C. is seeking a Construction Inspector Level III to support the inspection of highway and bridge projects in Arkansas. The CI-III will ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards across various construction activities, such as grading and installation of retaining walls.

A minimum of 6 years of construction engineering experience is required, along with proficiency in key software tools. The position offers a salary range of $55-$57 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of construction engineering experience.
• At least 1 year as Project or Resident Engineer on highway or bridge projects.
• Experience maintaining daily project diaries and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of construction activities for compliance.
• Assess and verify contractor work, submitting daily reports.
• Update the project Material Register and assist with progress estimates.

Skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, contracts

Ability to coordinate and schedule efforts of others

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word

Proficiency in Primavera or other scheduling software

Education

NICET Certificate – Level III or higher

EIT Certificate

Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology
