Job summary

MasTec Power Delivery seeks a Transmission Line Engineer to design high-voltage transmission lines up to 500 kV. You will work with project teams across engineering, field staff and clients to deliver safe, reliable, and constructible solutions in an EPC environment.

You will perform routing, conductor selection, structure spotting, plan/profile development, and material takeoffs, using PLS-CADD and related tools, while ensuring compliance with NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on transmission line engineering and design experience.
• Experience in an EPC environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost-effective, reliable, and constructible high-voltage transmission line designs.
• Perform routing, conductor selection, structure spotting, plan/profile development, and material takeoffs.
• Support structure and foundation design using PLS-CADD and related software.
• Prepare and review drawings, design documents, specifications, and project deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI, and ANSI standards.
• Monitor engineering progress to support project schedules, budgets, and customer expectations.
• Travel periodically to project sites, customer meetings, and other locations as required.
