Job summary

PEAK6 Capital Management is seeking a High Touch Trader to join our High Touch Desk. This role involves executing complex, large notional trades across equity options, index/ETF products, and OTC instruments in a fast-moving, client-facing environment.

You will work with PEAK6 traders and external brokers, leveraging technology-forward approaches and AI-powered analytics to source liquidity and optimize executions. Requires 5+ years in listed/OTC trading and Series 7/56 licensing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Listed and OTC products, equity derivatives, and index/ETF trading.
• Series 7 and/or Series 56 (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong proficiency with trading platforms; Python or SQL experience is a plus.
• Comfort with Google Workspace and an aptitude for adopting new analytics and AI tools.
• Soft skills: urgency, attention to detail, multitasking in a high-stakes environment, and strong communication with internal and external counterparties.
• Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and curious mindset; drive to understand, improve, and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades across equity options, index/ETF products, and OTC instruments with precision.
• Manage OTC transactions with strong command of market structure and counterparty relationships.
• Apply options theory in live markets and translate into actionable trading decisions.
• Maintain relationships with brokers and sell-side analysts to source liquidity and gather intelligence.
• Leverage data and proprietary tools; explore AI-powered analytics and modern market research approaches.
• Disseminate value-add research and market color to the trading team.
