Job Overview
NeoDym Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Python Developer to support data modernization, migration, analytics, and enterprise application initiatives for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). The role focuses on developing Python-based data solutions, ETL pipelines, automation workflows, analytics platforms, and enterprise integrations.
The successful candidate will work across data extraction, transformation, validation, migration, reporting, database optimization, and application integration. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based data migration scripts, ETL pipelines, and automation workflows.
- Design and optimize data models for reporting and analytics.
- Build interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading across databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Develop optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Integrate data from cloud applications, on-premises systems, APIs, and flat files.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Implement data integrity and data governance best practices.
- Support enterprise data modernization and legacy system migration initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate reporting requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Maintain documentation for data processes, source mappings, and migration activities.
- Support database performance optimization and scalable data processing.
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using relevant Python-based technologies.
- Support modernization initiatives involving legacy applications and data environments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of hands‑on Python development experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Power BI experience.
- Minimum 7 years of SQL and relational database experience.
- Minimum 7 years of data migration or data conversion experience.
- Strong experience optimizing SQL queries and improving database performance.Minimum 5 years of experience with REST/SOAP APIs, backend architecture, and microservices.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
- Experience developing and maintaining Zope applications.
- Experience developing and maintaining Plone CMS applications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and communication capabilities.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications
- Experience with legacy system migration and large-scale modernization projects.
- Java development experience.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Power BI administration experience, including workspaces, gateways, and deployment strategies.
- Experience with Git, Subversion, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perl scripting experience.
- Experience maintaining legacy applications.
