Job summary

Lightmatter is seeking an outstanding Field Application Engineer - High-speed I/O Specialist to architect the next generation of devices with photonic interconnects. You will collaborate with Tier 1 semiconductor partners and Lightmatter engineers to define optimal HSIO solutions.

You’ll engage in deep technical discussions on high-speed serial links and protocols. You should be comfortable supporting customers and delivering technical training, with strong presentation skills and a track record

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent).
• 10+ years in high-tech electronics with high-speed serial I/O design.
• Deep knowledge of SI/PI and related hardware design; familiarity with SI/PI tools.
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to communicate with customers.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset and independent work ability.
• Experience presenting to executives and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with silicon photonics and optical transceivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide full technical support for the customer HSIO design lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver technical proposals based on requirements.
• Serve as HSIO domain expert, train the FAE team, and create reference designs.
• Collaborate with Lightmatter Engineering to support design wins and progress updates.
