Job summary

Applied Atomics LLC is seeking a High-Power Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of HV/MV electrical systems for FOAK nuclear power plants and future facilities.

The role involves creating diagrams, models, and specifications, coordinating with Nuclear, BOP, Controls/I&C, and Civil teams, and delivering safe, reliable and constructible power infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 6+ years designing HV/MV electrical systems in industrial, utility, aerospace, energy, nuclear, or similar environments.
• Experience with NFPA 70/70E, IEEE and IEC standards; power equipment integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of HV/MV electrical systems for nuclear power projects.
• Develop single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable routing and interface definitions.
• Create electrical system models using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, PSCAD, CYME, etc.
• Coordinate with Nuclear, BOP, Controls/I&C, and Civil teams to ensure safe, reliable, and operable systems.
• Develop commissioning plans and support energization and troubleshooting of HV/MV equipment.
