Opti Staffing in Sherwood, OR, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild a variety of heavy equipment in a professional shop. The role offers full-time day shift with pay between $25 and $35+ per hour.

You'll work with cutting-edge heavy machinery, expand your skills across equipment types, and grow with a stable family-owned company that values ongoing training and clear paths for advancement.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of mechanical experience in heavy equipment, diesel, or industrial shop
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems
• Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical and air systems
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to read and follow technical repair procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and related products
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and failures
• Repair, replace, and rebuild engines, transmissions, final drives, steering systems, clutches, and hydraulic components
• Diagnose and repair electrical and air systems
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed
• Identify and order correct parts and maintain records
• Communicate repairs and recommendations with management and customers
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment
• Follow safety and maintenance procedures
