BurnBot in Sonora, CA is seeking a Sr. Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair forestry and logging equipment, hydraulic and A/C systems, and perform preventative maintenance in the field and shop.

This non-exempt, hourly role pays $45-$55 per hour and requires travel to project sites daily. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, welding and fabrication, emissions testing, and major engine work on Cummins, Caterpillar, Ford, and International diesel engines.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 10 years of experience with 5 years at journeyman level
• Valid CDL Class A
• Ability to operate a BurnBot vehicle
• Knowledge of forestry mastication & logging equipment
• Repair of gas and diesel trucks and heavy equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and A/C systems and provide corrective actions
• Operate heavy equipment safely (Dozer, skid steer, masticator, excavator, etc.)
• Familiar with CAT, John Deere, FAE, TigerCat and other major equipment manufacturers
• Capable of rigging and securing machines on steep ground
• Lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs
• Be able to commute to job sites

Responsabilidades

• Comply with state and federal regulations; safety first.
• Maintain a safe, productive environment.
• Troubleshoot field and shop equipment failures.
• Delegate and manage tasks for BurnBot mechanics.
• Travel daily to project sites as needed.
• Perform field maintenance and repairs on mastication/logging equipment.
• Repair hydraulics and A/C systems; fabricate hoses and rebuild components.
• Engage in welding and fabrication.
• Oversee shop duties including engine rebuilds and emissions testing.
• Schedule parts and equipment for maintenance.
• Manage service truck upkeep.
• Complete DOT annual and BIT 90 inspections.
• Demonstrate bias for action and adaptability.
• Learn and take on new responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
