Job summary

Tessera seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic EVT II to maintain and repair a wide range of heavy machinery and emergency service vehicles. You will diagnose malfunctions, rebuild engines and power systems, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–8 years experience as automotive mechanic or closely related field.
• Combination of education and experience can be considered.
• Certifications: EVT LVL 2 Fire Apparatus and ARFF Vehicle Technician incl. ASE (T-2 through T-7) and EVT (F-1 through F-4 and A-1 through A-2).
• CDL Class B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on wheeled/track vehicles, engineer equipment, power generation, and material handling equipment.
• Accomplish minor repairs and services per manuals.
• Inspect and repair brakes, suspension, wheels, hubs, and steering systems.
• Read and follow technical manuals, lube orders, wiring, and hydraulic schematics.
