Qualifications

  • Ability to travel up to 80% including overnight travel up to 20%.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills with good customer relationship and communication strengths.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product orientation classes at customer locations for various products.
  • Onsite at customer locations, diagnose and repair equipment issues.
  • Assist dealer service technicians with diagnosing and repairing, on-site, on the phone, or via email.
  • Follow up on repairs to ensure customer satisfaction and develop best resolution.
  • Lead and mentor other Field Service Technicians as required.

This role will also be responsible for performing diagnostics and repairs at customer sites throughout the US for all products produced within their realm of expertise to ensure our products are repaired in a proper and timely manner to reduce any future issues. They may be responsible for traveling to customers sites within their assigned territory (truck end users) to perform in service operations and maintenance training to ensure customers know how to operate our equipment in a proper and safe manner.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:This position will be based in the field and require daily/weekly travel within assigned territoriesTechnicians will be provided a company vehicle and a company fuel card to pay for vehicle expensesMust be able to be insured by Oshkosh CorporationYOUR IMPACTThese duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.Monitor customer product readiness within the assigned territory to support diagnostics and repairs that the customer is unable to perform or resolve.Provide product orientation classes at customer locations for various products.Onsite at customer locations, diagnose and repair all issues related to equipment.Assist dealer service technicians with diagnosing and repairing, either on-site, on the phone, or via email.Follow up on repairs made to customer equipment, to ensure customer is satisfied.Troubleshoot customer concerns and develop best resolution.Lead and mentor other Field Service Technicians as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED and five (5) or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication; or previous relevant contracting experience with Oshkosh Corporation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.Valid driver’s license must be maintained at all times.Ability to possess a DOT card.Strong mechanical and technical skills, with demonstrated customer relationship and communication strengths.Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel up to 20%.STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:Associates Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related field.Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).Experience in hydraulic and electrical troubleshootingWORKING CONDITIONS:The following represents general working conditions for this role.
