Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• 15+ years of experience in related field required.
• Possess valid state license to operate heavy equipment required.
• Possess a current NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification.
• Ability to pass pre-employment qualifications such as drug test, background check, and/or fit-for-duty test.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes including telescope booms, lattice booms, all terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawlers, Industrial, Hydraulic Trucks, Conventional Trucks, Boom Trucks, and hydraulic cranes.
• Review lift plan and select the appropriate crane confirmation to meet lift requirements.
• Calculate load capacity and determine weight of items relative to crane capacity.
• Inspect for obstructions, overhead lines, and assess ground conditions for safe setup.
• Set up crane per manufacturer guidelines and safety rules.
• Notify supervision of hazardous conditions during operations.
• Receive direction from riggers/site supervision and follow load movements.
• Unload crane accessories from trailers and assist with site setup and teardown.
• Monitor weather conditions and ensure safe operation; shutdown if unsafe.
