Job summary

LVI Associates seeks an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects in Vallejo, California and the broader Bay Area. The role involves delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout, while managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in heavy civil construction, with proven road/highway paving and grading experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on heavy civil construction projects.
• Proven experience managing road, highway paving, and grading projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects from award through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and company leadership.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, change orders, and submittals.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Work closely with Superintendents to coordinate field activities and production goals.
• Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Track project financial performance and prepare monthly cost reports.
• Assist with estimating, bidding, and project pursuits as needed.
