The Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a senior level Heating Plant Technician to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of a heating plant. The role involves boiler room work, electrical components, pumps, valves, and generating emergency power.

Responsibilities

• Repairs/maintains boilers and related equipment such as pumps, valves and regulators.
• Repairs/replaces steam and water lines, unions and steam traps.
• Replaces seals/gaskets in power plant equipment.
• Tests/monitors water treatment in boilers.
• Maintains/tests/operates diesel generators for emergency power.
• Reads sketches/diagrams for maintenance work.
• Performs minor adjustments/repairs to electrical generators, boilers, pumps and related equipment.
