Job summary

Pro-Vac is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team in the San Antonio market and champion onsite safety, prevent injuries and ensure regulatory compliance across hydro-excavation, stormwater and sewer maintenance services.

You will lead safety programs in alignment with OSHA 1910/1926 and related standards, conduct audits, develop training, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Travel to regional job sites is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety software such as Samsara (Dash Cam) and KPA (Safety Suite).
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of comprehensive Health and Safety Programs in alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct assessments to determine safety training needs, identify gaps, and develop tailored training programs in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze data to identify trends and develop corrective action plans for safety performance.
• Audit job-specific documents (DVIRs, JHAs) and complete monthly gap analyses.
• Travel to and visit job sites within the region to support safety initiatives.

Position: Senior Health & Safety Coordinator

Position Reports to National Health & Safety Manager. Location: Texas.

Pro-Vac LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team in the San Antonio market! The Health and Safety Coordinator will play a pivotal role in championing onsite safety, preventing injuries, ensuring training and regulatory compliance, and cultivating a strong safety culture within the organization. The successful candidate will uphold our commitment to excellence in hydro-excavation, industrial stormwater, and sewer maintenance services by promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Actively participate as a member of the Health and Safety Team, contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety and health management systems and programs throughout the organization. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement, share best practices, and drive collective efforts to enhance safety culture and performance. To thrive in this position, you must have strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.

You MIGHT be a good fit on our AWESOME team if you have...

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferable experience in industrial/rail car cleaning, hazardous chemicals, and/or emergency response).


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels of the organization.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications i.e. Samsara (Dash Cam Software), KPA (Safety Suite)


• Experience in conducting safety audits, equipment inspections, and incident reporting.


• Demonstrated physical fitness and agility to work at heights and perform climbing activities safely. Ability to navigate ladders, scaffolding, trucks, tanks and other elevated structures while adhering to safety protocols and procedures.


• OSHA 500, OSHA 510, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 preferred but not required.

• Research, evaluate, and recommend safety-sensitive equipment such as atmospheric monitors, fall protection gear, and other specialized safety tools and devices.


• Lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of comprehensive Health and Safety Programs in alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.


• Conduct assessments to determine safety training needs, identify gaps, and develop tailored training programs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.


• Gather and analyze data to identify trends and develop corrective action plans for organizational performance based on safety metrics and employee feedback.


• Audit job-specific documents, including DVIRs, JHAs, and complete a gap analysis (Monthly).
