Job summary

Gresham Smith is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead healthcare interior design efforts, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to develop concepts, renderings, and comprehensive designs. You will guide projects from programming through construction documentation and administration, mentoring juniors along the way.

You will interact with clients, present designs, and ensure design intent, budgets, and schedules are met while staying current with healthcare space trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design/Architecture from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 8 years of job-related design experience.
• Professional registration is required.
• Healthcare interior design experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with Rhino, Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent presentation, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project interior designer collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Create concept renderings and diagrams, participate in charrettes and translate the Big Idea into deliverables.
• Participate in design presentations and client meetings.
• Lead interior design/architecture portions from programming to construction administration.
• Coordinate documentation with other disciplines for holistic solutions.
• Lead FF&E concept and finish palette selections to meet user needs.
• Contribute to project pursuits and marketing materials.
• Direct and mentor junior staff and ensure design quality and code compliance.
• Collaborate on project budgets and schedules and adjust as needed.
