NBBJ is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead healthcare and corporate projects, mentoring junior designers and collaborating with architects, planners, and BIM teams. The role focuses on pursuing, developing, managing, and executing design across international and domestic initiatives.

The candidate should have a strong background in design leadership, team building, and a passion for creating healing spaces and functional work environments. Based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Interior Design or Architecture degree from an accredited program (Master’s or Bachelor’s).
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Interior Design and/or Interior Architecture.
• Significant experience with complex healthcare projects in all design phases.
• Architectural or interior design licensure a plus.
• LEED accreditation or within 18 months of hire.
• Strong marketing, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion design excellence across the firm and set new standards.
• Lead design processes for healthcare and related projects from concept to CA.
• Mentor and grow junior interior design talent.
• Collaborate across disciplines with architects, planners, lighting and graphics.
• Develop integrated design narratives and communicate them clearly.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
