Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine is seeking a Senior Custodian to perform cleaning, housekeeping and general maintenance in acute and non-acute areas, including patient spaces and clinics. You will handle tile and carpet care and operate equipment safely.

This role requires prior service-industry experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays on rotating shifts. English reading/writing is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a service industry position.
• Experience interacting with internal and external customers.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping and/or general maintenance duties in acute and non-acute in-patient, out-patient and non-patient areas.
• Carry out resilient tile and carpet care maintenance tasks (stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing).
• Use supplies and equipment safely and perform related duties as assigned.
