Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in Austin seeks a senior Architect IV to direct architectural work on complex healthcare facilities, including hospitals and ASC/ESRD-related projects. You will interpret NFPA and Life Safety Code requirements and lead expert staff in inspections and plan reviews.

You will coordinate with contractors, design professionals, and facility planners, traveling as needed to oversee field operations and ensure compliance with state and federal standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect with current Texas license is required.
• Experience leading architectural projects in healthcare facilities is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, building codes and Life Safety Code is essential.

Responsibilities

• Directs architectural work for healthcare facilities and complex building systems.
• Leads inspections and ensures compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Reviews drawings and specifications for code compliance and quality control.
• Trains staff and coordinates travel for inspections.
