Job summary

Edelman Health is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead high-impact healthcare communications programs and executive-level client relationships. You will shape integrated strategies, grow accounts, and mentor teams across multiple markets, including New York and Chicago.

You will guide campaigns across earned, owned, and paid media, stay ahead of industry trends, and drive operational excellence while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of health communications experience (agency or in-house preferred).
• Extensive experience in executive-level client counsel, account management, and strategic communications leadership.
• Proven success in business development and account growth within the healthcare sector.
• Strong team leadership and mentorship skills, with experience managing large, high-performing teams.
• Deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, including regulatory considerations and evolving market trends.
• Expertise in developing integrated, multi-channel communications campaigns across earned, owned, and paid media.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a high-level strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders, offering expert counsel on healthcare communications challenges.
• Oversee the development and execution of integrated communications strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational excellence across accounts.
• Drive organic growth opportunities within existing client relationships.
• Lead new business pitches and proposals to expand the healthcare portfolio.
