Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Specialist for the Aiken PSR plant in South Carolina. The role focuses on developing and implementing policies to identify and mitigate hazards, investigating accidents, and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

The position requires strong analytical skills, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to work independently on diverse safety projects in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

• Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals

Position Summary

We are searching for a Senior Health & Safety Specialist for our Aiken PSR plant

Employee/Labor Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the wellbeing of employees including:

Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace

Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions

Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence

Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee heath and safety

Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies
