Job summary

HKS is seeking a Senior Project Architect for health facilities in Chicago. You will lead a team of project architects, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure design intent is realized through detailed documentation.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and strong client communication. The position requires extensive experience, an accredited architecture degree, and architectural registration.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture.
• Architectural Registration required.
• Experience with health projects is preferred.
• Strong presentation skills and leadership abilities.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Leads team and other Project Architects in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
• Collaborates with PIC/PM in defining project work plans and developing and managing the production schedule.
• Leads the creation and modification of complex detailed implementation documents to reflect design intent.
• Maintains open communication with client and provides guidance through projects.
• Coordinates with PM, clients, public agencies, consultants and contractors to incorporate engineering systems and obtain approvals.
