Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a High Hazard Chemicals Engineering/Specialist to support Process Safety Management across our power generation fleet. The Principal Generation Specialist will oversee storage and handling systems for hydrogen, ammonia and other hazardous substances, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and insurance requirements.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years in power generation or similar asset-intensive environments.
Experience with hazardous chemicals handling systems and PSM administrative tools.
Familiarity with CGA, OSHA, ANSI, EPA requirements related to Hydrogen, Ammonia and Natural Gas.

Responsibilities

Governance of standards and guidelines for generation services, aligning with codes and insurer input.
Evaluate plant systems for adequacy, reliability and compliance; support ITM programs.
Participate in incident investigations and RCA; drive standardization and continuous improvement.
Collaborate across operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS; provide training as needed.
Manage contractors and multiple projects while maintaining clear communication.
