Job summary

IBM Software in Armonk, NY is seeking a seasoned engineer to design, build, and operate HashiCorp Vault as a service. You will deliver secure, highly available secrets management across Kubernetes and OpenShift environments, combining software development, security engineering, reliability, and cloud platform operations.

You will craft the systems, automation, and developer experiences that let customers run mission-critical workloads in the cloud.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production services in Golang with testing and quality.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience including networking and security.
• Designing scalable distributed systems on AWS/Azure/GCP with DR strategies.
• Operates mission-critical cloud services with runbooks and incident response.
• Strong DevOps and IaC mindset with automation-first operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Vault as a service at scale.
• Ensure secure, highly available, and compliant secrets management.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to meet real-world requirements.
• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of large projects.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring and on-call rotations.
