Job summary

Carrier is seeking a hardware test engineer to ensure products meet functional and compliance requirements through development, testing, and documentation. You will develop, execute, and analyze hardware tests and act as a liaison between Hardware and Firmware teams.

Key duties include leading test plans, coordinating labs, developing automation, and managing the HW test lab. A BS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years PCB testing is required; Linux and soldering skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in PCB testing and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Linux is preferred

Responsibilities

• Write and execute test plans and test cases for HW QA activities in projects
• Lead testing tasks and estimate time during project schedule development
• Lead test plan creation ensuring traceability to product requirements
• Lead design verification and coordinate with external labs as required
• Develop test automation methods and supporting software
• Manage the HW test lab including inventory, calibration, safety, and organization
• Document test conditions and results in final reports and coordinate approvals
• Generate FW Test SoW for HW Functional Test with onshore/offshore teams
• Create NPD checkout procedures
• Design and build test jigs, fixtures, and boxes for testing
