Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience in hardware product development.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in consumer electronics.
  • Proven success managing cross-functional hardware projects from development through launch.
  • Strong understanding of product component development cycles, lead times, and sourcing processes.
  • Experience communicating with Hardware, Firmware, Manufacturing, and external partners both domestically and internationally.
  • Innovative, adaptable to fast-paced changing requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware engineering projects from kickoff through launch, focusing on performance, cost, and quality improvements.
  • Manage the engineering project management team dedicated to your program domain.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio view of continuous improvement projects, advising executive leadership on prioritization and team allocation based on varying business needs.
  • Drive the team to respond quickly to new supply chain shortages and to build resiliency into all programs.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans aligned with the company goals, balancing timelines, resources, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate engineering builds and iterative development activities with internal and external manufacturing partners.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration and communication, ensuring timely decision-making and alignment.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and dependencies, driving resolution of technical and organizational blockers.
  • Own and refine the company's Continuous Improvement Engineering process to enhance project execution and reliability.

You will play a vital role in scaling innovation from concept to launch in collaboration with hardware, manufacturing, firmware, and supply chain teams.

This role is based in the the company office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $195,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.

In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
