As a Senior Hardware Engineer for High Voltage Power Packs, the candidate will be the technical leader responsible for understanding and rolling out the global requirements and strategy to assist in the execution of high voltage power pack assemblies (400W up to over 7.2kW), high voltage power outlets, and 12V power outlets for the interior and exterior of the vehicle. The candidate should possess creativity and initiative as well as a high level of independent judgement to support a growth commodity.
The Senior Hardware Engineer for High Voltage Power Packs is responsible for understanding and leading the roll-out of global requirements and strategy to assist the organization in execution. With the growing demand for more power offerings to customers, this role will require collaboration and creativity with cross-functional teams to define and agree on a product roadmap and awareness of program packaging constraints. Power outlets will range in high and low power applications (400W up to over 7.2kW) and include LIN devices. Creativity and initiative are involved as well as a high level of independent judgment. The candidate will support the organization as a technical leader for future and current technology, as well as support for global QRD activities. The individual will be responsible for supporting the strategy for component sharing and brand strategies – working with both the CCC team and component design studio. As the Senior Hardware Engineer, the candidate will support the DREs within the organization to mentor and support the DREs through technical issues and be able to independently provide recommendations. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical vehicle electric power content by owning the mechanical and packaging execution of shields for generators, inverters, converters, battery vent tubes, jump start nuts, and related 12V hardware from concept through production. You will influence key integration decisions, solve packaging challenges, and help deliver robust solutions that support successful vehicle launches.
This position requires strong collaboration across electrical, systems, packaging, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and supplier teams. Candidates should be comfortable leading technical discussions, driving issue resolution, and executing engineering deliverables in support of aggressive program milestones.
