Job summary

Omni Design Technology is seeking an experienced RF/Analog PCB designer to lead test-board development from schematic capture through bring-up and debug, with emphasis on high-speed, mmWave performance. The role involves designing 64 GHz signal paths, low-noise power networks, and JESD204B interfaces, collaborating with IC designers, and building automated test workflows to ensure robust characterization.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in PCB design, S-parameters/VNA methods, and hands-on lab

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years hands-on PCB design and hardware bring-up experience.
  • Experience characterizing high-speed ADC/DAC devices.
  • Strong knowledge of S-parameters and VNA measurement techniques.
  • RF PCB design with impedance control, grounding, shielding.
  • LDO selection and power-supply layout for analog/RF environments.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout EDA tools.
  • Bench equipment experience: VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators.
  • JESD204B high-speed serial interface experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own test board development end-to-end: schematic capture, PCB layout review, BOM, bring-up, and debug
  • Design RF signal paths with impedance matching, microstrip/stripline routing, connectors, and launch structures for up to 64 GHz
  • Design low-noise power delivery networks using LDO regulators for analog/RF environments
  • Characterize high-speed ADC/DAC devices including SNDR, SFDR, THD, and dynamic range
  • Measure and interpret S-parameters to validate board SI and RF performance across frequency
  • Integrate FPGA or MCU subsystems on test boards for automated stimulus and data capture
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts for characterization workflows
  • Work with IC design engineers to define test requirements for silicon bring-up
  • Document board designs, test procedures, and characterization results clearly

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own test board development end-to-end: schematic capture, PCB layout review, BOM, bring-up, and debug
  • Design RF signal paths with careful attention to impedance matching, microstrip/stripline routing, connector selection, and launch structures for operation up to 64 GHz
  • Design low-noise power delivery networks using LDO regulators appropriate for sensitive analog and RF measurement environments
  • Characterize high-speed ADC and DAC devices including SNDR, SFDR, THD, and dynamic range measurements
  • Measure and interpret S-parameters to validate board signal integrity and RF performance across the full frequency range
  • Integrate FPGA or microcontroller subsystems on test boards to enable automated stimulus, data capture, and instrument control
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts to streamline characterization workflows and regression testing
  • Work closely with analog and digital IC design engineers to define test requirements for each new silicon bring-up
  • Document board designs, test procedures, and characterization results clearly and thoroughly.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required
