Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Electric Propulsion Engineer to own Hall-effect thruster design from plasma physics to flight qualification. This senior IC role offers leadership in test campaigns, life-qualification, and production scaling for spaceflight propulsion hardware.

Collaborate with propulsion, systems, and power teams to define interfaces and ensure manufacturability. The role emphasizes design-for-manufacturing and mission-life compliance in a fast-growing space startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, plasma/propulsion engineering, applied physics, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant electric propulsion experience or PhD with 3+ years in Hall thruster design and testing.
• Deep knowledge of Hall thruster physics and design including discharge channel, magnetic circuit, and thermal management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and development of Hall-effect thrusters including discharge channel geometry, magnetic circuit, and thermal-mechanical packaging.
• Develop plasma physics and performance models to drive thruster design across operating envelope.
• Define and execute thruster test and life-qualification campaigns in vacuum facilities.
• Support flight hardware build, integration, and test, and launch campaigns.
