Qualifications

• Four years of professional biology/environmental science/natural resources work.
• Bachelor's degree in wildlife management or related field preferred.
• At least three years operating farm/heavy equipment for habitat work.
• At least one year handling nuisance wildlife responses.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS and Behave 7 for prescribed fire plans.
• Valid Maryland driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Directs and administers wildlife habitat management across public and private lands in Maryland's Eastern Region.
• Supervises an Area Manager and Land Management Technicians.
• Leads habitat initiatives including quail demonstration projects and prescribed fire marsh habitat management.
• Coordinates with state and federal partners.
• Manages over 42,000 acres of Wildlife Management Areas.
• Responds to human-wildlife conflicts.
• Leads grassland habitat management projects across the state.
